MICHAEL EGAN | RURAL POETRY IN PICTURES
Artist In Residence | 17th August – 23rd October
Michael has been a serious hobbyist Art photographer for over 25 years who has worked as a professional photographer in between my ‘other’ career as a Manufacturing Manager. Most of his learning was through the Australian Photographic Society where he has exhibited in over 50 national and International exhibitions. Michael has also exhibited locally around Albury & Riverina winning the odd exhibition medal.
Almost retired now and spending his time between Hilltop and his property in Tumbarumba, which he is currently in the process of renovating the old farmhouse and also building a small gallery.
Michael is well travelled both within Australia and overseas. In Australia, he has photographed wilderness areas including Wilsons Promontory, Tasmania, Lake Eyre, Flinders Ranges, Red Center and Outback NSW. Overseas destinations include Alaska/Canada US/Europe/India and Asia including Mongolia.
Michael’s location in Tumbarumba gives him access to the Snowy Valleys including Kosciuszko National park where he loves to spend time camping and photographing Brumbies and the outstanding wilderness areas of the Park.
